Who will win the next Title for North Texas?

Ezekiel Elliott

The Cowboys have taken the NFL and America by storm. Of the top 15 selling jerseys, the Cowboys represent 4 of them. (Elliott #1; Prescott #2; Witten #11; Bryant #14). Every week I expect a second foot to drop, yet it never does. They’re gaining momentum and are now the favorites to win not only the NFC East, but the conference. So will it be the Cowboys who brings home the next Title? It will have been 21 years since Aikman, Emmitt and Irvin won the title for North Texas. 21 years.

Matt Hedges

What about FC Dallas? They’re coming off a terrific season. They led the league in points and finished first in the Western Division. Matt Hedges won Defender of the Year honors, and 2017 may be exciting.

Dirk Nowitzki

How about the Mavericks? They’re off to an unusual start. They’re 2-7 and in second-to-last place. Dirk’s aging so the team feels close to a true rebuilding phase.

The Rangers are coming off a terrific season. They also had the best record in their league and had it not been for unexpected pitching letdowns early in the Toronto Series, they may have been in the race to win it all this year. They could be strong again next year, but we’ll see how some of the youngsters step-up and perform, and if they start playing better defense.

Tyler Seguin

Last but not least, we have the Stars. They also had a great season last year. They may have best scorers in the league with Jamie Penn and Tyler Seguin, among others, but whether they can play defense will be determined.

Been called a ne'er-do-well, vagabond and worse. But I'm really a harmless wayfarer. I'm a bit reckless, but at least I know who I am. That's something I can't say for most men I meet out there.
A pretty lady once told me that I like to hear myself talk. So if I get to ramblin', send me a quick "Yur dooin ma heid in!" and I'll shut up for a bit. It won't hurt my feelings.
