Ok, so the Rangers stunk it up at home. They’re down 0-2 and their two best pitchers got beaten. Badly. And now they have to go on the road and win a couple in Toronto. Is there a chance?
As reported on cbssports.com, there have been 72 previous times a team was down 0-2 in a 5 game MLB postseason series. Of those, 9 times the team down 0-2 has come back to win the series. (Almost 5 times that number, 43 times, the team down 0-2 got swept.) So statistically the Rangers have a 12.5% chance of coming back to win this thing. The last time this happened, btw? Last year by the Blue Jays. Against the Rangers.
…so you’re saying there’s a chance?
